Camping:
The Herbal Bear can offer primitive camping space at the teaching location for class participants only and is only available during the scheduled weekend classes. You must provide you own tent and camping supplies. Our camping space has a shared porta-potty and an outdoor shower. Outdoor cooking and campfires are prohibited. Space for camping is limited. Those who camp are welcome to use the Hot-tub, pool and swimming pond located at
The Herbal
Bear Cabin. Camping fees are $30 per weekend or $120.00 per season (June - October). If you are interested in camping - please contact us. 212-532-9322.
Bedrooms:
The Herbal Bear also has two small bedrooms in our cabin - located at the teaching facility. Each bedroom has a full size double bed. Sheets and blankets are provided. Towels are not provided. There is no air conditioning. The cabin has only one bathroom, with a shower- located on the main floor. Students who stay in a cabin bedroom can use the shared bathroom or the outside shower/porta-potty. The fee for a bedroom rental is $100.00 per weekend or $550.00 for all program weekends. (Friday and Saturday nights). Because the cabin is rented between scheduled classes, students may not leave their belongings in their rooms from month to month.
Dormitory Space:
Dormitory space is available within a short walk from the Herbal Bear teaching cabin. Located in a separate building, the dormitory space is a common area that has four single beds with space to leave personal items from month to month. Students must provided their own sheets and towels. The dormitory space has access to the bathroom in the main house - located 100ft away. The fee for Dormitory space is $60.00 per weekend. Dormitory space is available to women only.
